The Need Doesn’t Stop When School Breaks

Hunger doesn’t take a break—and neither does the need for food in the schools we serve.

While L3 provides food to students during winter and spring breaks, we know the need extends throughout the entire year. Help us restock food pantries at schools in the Kansas City, Kansas community! These pantries provide schools with a way to help meet the immediate needs of students and families when they need it most.

You Can Help Fill the Shelves

It takes a community to make sure no child has to worry about where their next meal will come from. Gather your family, church group, school group, neighborhood, coworkers, or friends and help us stock these school food pantries.

You can help by:

  • Collecting food from your family, group, school, or community

  • Purchasing needed items to donate

  • Volunteering your time to help organize and stock the pantries

  • Signing up for one school - one day—or multiple schools and multiple days—to help us keep the shelves filled

Every box, bag, can, and hour of volunteer time makes a difference.

Together, we can help ensure that children and families have access to the food they need—and remind them that their community sees them, supports them, and loves them.
