VOLUNTEER program

CLASSROOM SUPPLIES

VOLUNTEER SIGN-UPS ARE THROUGH JUSTSERVE.ORG. YOU MUST BE REGISTERED ON THEIR SITE BEFORE YOU CAN VOLUNTEER.

IT’S EASY AND QUICK!  THANK YOU!

We are looking for volunteers to help with the sorting.

We are also looking for volunteers to help with the shop day set up and clean up.

Being a teacher is a noble and challenging work, and the challenges are sometimes not what we might expect.  Unfortunately, many school districts don’t have the funds to adequately supply classrooms, causing teachers to buy some of the paper, notebooks, pencils, and pens they need.  This can present a significant hardship.

Fortunately, there are teachers from school districts in other communities who have surplus items at the end of the school year which they generously donate to L3 for Mark Twain Elementary.  Volunteers help us sort them into categories, and then just before school starts we set them out at the school and invite teachers to take what they need.  We then invite the surrounding high school and middle school teachers to do the same.
